REALLY, it's a little bit late in the game that I'm getting into this full on-- since my first cosmetic usage some decade+ ago, smearing on Clinique's Almost Lipstick with the heaviest of hands. I was in high school and I thought something called "almost" is definitely not "quite as." Coming into class my teacher immediately noticed my glaring, crimson lips (perhaps I was also subconsciously puckering up, who knows?) and she promptly ordered me to wipe it off.
I was hooked.
So, I've never had any formal training. Not to say that I won't ever take classes or enroll in a program. It would be a dream to apprentice under a big artist. But for now, I'm just your average Jane who loves makeup, salons, spas, hair and skin products (among you who are many, many!) and I want to be able to practice. I will make a lot of mistakes, surely. But I will learn--and maybe, that's all the education I will ever need. Maybe.
